Beyond heartbreaking!I just cried hearing this heartrenching story Pamela.
What a precious special man! May his precious memory be a blessing. May his beloved wife be comforted knowing how loved her husband was, both by his patients, their families and his colleagues. May his life and legacy be honored and celebrated. May his wife be comforted.
I am so happy you will be attending his celebration of life. 20 years overdue. He deserves the honor & respect for his contributions to medicine and for being such a the beautiful & loving man. Oh and his wife will be present for the blessing on his life. I will send out the Zoom link to you a few days prior to the event. Be watching your email inbox. 🙂
Amazing surgeon, a hero in my mind, I’m perplexed by the culture of medicine, as this beautiful spirit was destroyed. We need a revolutionary mindset in medicine. GenZ is the light at the end of the tunnel !!! Change the youth – change the future – out with the archaic mindset 🦕 and in with the compassionate humanitarians 💜💕🙏 the art of medicine can be beautiful, healing as meant to be ⏰🌻🌸
Beyond heartbreaking and absolutely no pun intended. Reminds me of the loss of my dear friend’s physician husband just a few months ago who had saved countless lives; But could not save himself from the darkness that clouded his mind. May his widow find comfort in knowing he is not forgotten💞
As a fellow surgeon albeit in a different field I understand the potential peril in perfectionism in that better can be the enemy of good although this does not apply here but there is a toll as well as a reward in putting yourself ahead of others in order to save others sometimes you lose yourself and being great attracts accolade and jealousy, having the where with all to find yourself amongst this whirlwind of highly intense emotion can be the most difficult thing. My heart, admiration, respect, condolences and indeed love go out to Jonathan and his wife and loved ones. What an amazing surgeon and person he was although I never met him I wish I had
Kevin. beautifully stated.❤️
Such a gifted man….sad the system beat him. Thanks for putting this together for all of us who do care.

Let’s celebrate the passion and perfection. And drive to achieve super human feats. And recognise that he was just as human as any of us.
From 1000s of miles away in india our family prays for your family and all other doctors pushing themselves beyond human limits.

In 1998, Dr. Drummond-Webb saved my son’s life. The CHD community lost not only a gifted surgeon but also a man who genuinely cared for his patients and their families.
Each morning, during rounds, he took the time to explain the goals for my son’s recovery and address any concerns I had. He didn’t just focus on my son; he also took a moment to ask how I was doing as a mother, overwhelmed by the weight of it all.
Despite his incredible talent, Dr. Drummond-Webb remained humble. He made me feel supported, as if my son was the most important patient in the PICU. I’m certain he made all parents feel this way—it was simply his nature.
Our family will forever be grateful to Dr. Drummond-Webb for the priceless gift of our son’s life.
I do hope you can join us for his celebration of life today Christa.
Being in the same field i can relate to some of his pains.. especially from parents of kids and flaws of the Healthcare system that cannot be fought.
I hope wherever he is he attains peace with himself.
We cannot help everyone but to those we do…we always do our exceptional best.
